Twitter has evolved into a change agent technology with the Black community after a Seattle literary agent and one of the jurors tried to sign a book deal after the controversial 2013 State of Florida v. George Zimmerman verdict. Twitter serves as a crowdsource of opinions, outrage and then a unified solidarity/voice of protest by the use of #BlackTwitter. Since Trayvon Martin's death, black twitter is not just a hashtag, it's a representation of the black socially-networked community from pre-teens to those in retirement. There is much to learn about BlackTwitter and its power to elevate innovation.
